Drops into any agent that accepts file context
The page your agent needs is already open in your browser.
AI coding agents need documentation context, but they often can't reliably read JavaScript-rendered pages, authenticated content, or noisy doc sites full of navigation, cookie banners, and sidebars.
Developers who already found the right page still copy, paste, and clean content by hand. Contexify closes that gap for the page open right now in Chrome.
For example — migrating Prisma 5 → 6: the agent keeps suggesting old APIs because it never saw the real migration guide. Export the page once. Attach the Markdown. Done.
How it works
- 1Open the documentation or article you want your agent to see.
- 2Click the Contexify icon in the toolbar.
- 3Confirm the page title and URL in the popup.
- 4Click Export as Markdown.
- 5A .md file downloads locally.
- 6Attach or drag it into Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, Copilot — anything that takes file context.
What every export includes
Clear H1 every time, no scraping artifacts.
Top of the file. Your agent always knows where it came from.
Real Markdown structure — not flattened paragraphs.
Nav, footers, sidebars, cookie banners, repeated chrome — gone.
Reads what's actually rendered in your tab, using your session.
Derived from the page title, with a clean fallback.
Built privately by default
- Reads the current tab only when you click Export.
- Processing runs entirely in your browser.
- No account required to export.
- No page content sent to Contexify servers.
A home for the context you collect.
We're building a web platform to organize exports into knowledge bases and eventually connect agents via MCP.
The Chrome extension works standalone today — local Markdown download only, no signup.
Thanks — we'll be in touch when it's ready.
One email when the platform is ready. No newsletter, no spam.

Plain-English privacy policy.
This policy covers the Contexify Chrome extension and contexify.app.
Summary
The Contexify Chrome extension processes the current browser tab only when the user initiates an export. Exported content is saved locally on the user's device. The current extension version does not upload page content to Contexify servers.
What we collect (extension — current version)
- Page content: Read only from the active tab when the user clicks Export, to generate the Markdown file. Not collected or stored on Contexify servers.
- Account data: None required for export.
- Analytics / telemetry: None.
Permissions the extension uses
- activeTab — access the page being exported, when the user clicks Export.
- scripting — extract readable content from that tab.
- downloads — save the Markdown file locally.
No broad host permissions. No access to browsing history or other tabs.
What we do not do (current version)
- Do not sell user data.
- Do not collect browsing history.
- Do not upload exported page content to our servers as part of export.
- Do not require an account to use the extension.
Local processing
Content extraction and Markdown conversion happen in the user's browser.
Future platform
When a Contexify cloud platform launches, practices may change (accounts, stored exports, etc.). This policy will be updated before those features ship. The extension's local-only export path may remain available without an account.
Website
This marketing site may use standard hosting logs. The site does not receive exported page content from the extension.
Third parties
Only infrastructure needed to host this website (e.g. hosting/CDN). No extension data is shared with third parties in the current version.
